Infection Control & Prevention

Our Infection Control and Prevention course is designed to raise awareness of the importance of minimising the risk of infection in the workplace in order to prevent diseases from spreading and comply with legal responsibilities under the Public Health Regulations, RIDDOR 2013 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

This course aims to provide an understanding of the legal obligations, the techniques for undertaking an infection control risk assessment and explains the essentials for maintaining a hygienic working environment, including how to ensure the correct hand washing procedure is followed.

This qualification is assessed by a multiple-choice examination and is suitable for both qualified and unqualified staff.
