This course is aimed at care staff responsible for the day to day care and welfare of individuals who have a catheter in situ.

The course aims to improve the learner’s knowledge of urinary catheterisation and the risk associated risks with catheterisation.

The learners will learn how to correctly handle, empty and change catheter bags and how to maintain effective infection control.

We also recommend the following specialist course(s):

  • Incontinence Awareness
  • Male and Female Catheterisation
  • Suprapubic Catheterisation
